It’s National Library Week and what better way to celebrate than by visiting your local library and checking out a good book?
If you’re a book nerd and want to go above and beyond your usual weekly visit to the local library, perhaps you want to buy a little book-themed gift for a librarian or a library patron that you love.
The Public Library: A Photographic Essay
Jake and I like to visit public libraries while on vacation, especially when we’re in a big city. Last year when Jake and I went to Chicago, we visited a public library in the heart of downtown and it was one of the highlights of our trip. This book is like that, but x10. 🙂
I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie tote
Any librarian who was born in the late 70s or 80s will most definitely appreciate this tote to carry all of their books to and from the library. Sir Mix A Lot would surely be proud.
Anne of Green Gables scarf
…or if Anne of Green Gables isn’t their thing, choose from Dracula, Little Women, Wizard of Oz, and more! Storiarts Etsy shop also features writing gloves. I wouldn’t mind a pair of those myself!
Every book lover needs a fancy-schmancy way of labeling their personal library books.
There is no such thing as too many bookmarks, especially if they are creative. Some of my favorites include the reading lamp and a harry potter quidditch broomstick.
Some of us use a plain ‘ol notebook, but only because we’re too cheap to buy a bonafide reading journal. I really like this mini What I Read mini journal because it of its ease of tote-ability.
New Paperback Soy Candle
The smell of a new book all. day. long.
