What happens when spiritual formation meets Jesus as revealled in the gospels?
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and all your strength.
The various spiritual formation practices are meant to lead us to a theology and behavior and posture that loves God and others more (McKnight, One.Life, p. 48).
My two questions are 1. If certain spiritual formation practices make us less loving, what do we do with those practices? 2. What are the implications for mothers and spiritual formation? In popular “mom” literature, we are encouraged to have our daily quiet time no matter the costs. What if that’s not what it’s all about?
